Let’s Eat Together is a 501(c) organization based in Washington, DC. The “Lets Eat Together” (Enebla) idea came in 2010 when the founder, Joseph Gessese went back to his homeland Ethiopia to visit his family. During his stay, he was shocked by the number of homeless around the city, so he decided to do something about it. With the help of his family and friends, he was able to gather the homeless and feed them in different churches cafeteria around the city. This is when “Let’s Eat Together” program begin.
Upon his return, Joseph continue feeding and clothing the homeless by working with Ethiopian churches in Columbus,Ohio, Atlanta,Gerogia, and Washington, DC. Let’s Eat Together volunteers go out in groups in the dangerous part of the city to provide our service and share the gospel. We pray over their needs and empower them to impove their quality of lives on every level, where they can progress toward healthy and self-reliance.
